The Octopus Dei Project

Only minor technical and cosmetic changes. The forum link was removed because a new forum technology is being developed. The new technology will be seamlessly integrated with the rest of the database (it wasn't the case with the previous backend which used a PHP solution, Phorum) and the architectural principle is "anything can become a discussion"...

You may have guessed it by now. Version 1 means a launch. Please be patient. We are getting there.

We are doing some intensive data entry work right now and you can get a sample of what is to come on the Watched Organization page.

Interestingly enough since this site has not yet been publicized (the development and previewing is done on another server). We are getting some traffic from Spain, Italy, and ... the Notre Dame University! Ahem, since we link to the Opus Dei site and that HTTP allows the target site to know the referrer URI, that's probably where they got the address. Anyways, this site is for everybody to enjoy!

Ultra-minimalistic content and presentation (actually, almost all texts are still only in French). Version 0.1. Something that could be called a site should spring out around next Monday.

Here is a rough list of what is needed before we tag the project as version 1 :

• Translate to English: Disclaimer, Help, Contact, FAQ, Launch Message, etc.
• Migrate license to GNU GPL in disclaimer
• Enter data for all foundations listed at ODAN, Réseau Voltaire, and some others that we found
• Have pictures for at least 1% of all profiles
• Have analysis for at least 1% of all profiles
• Have different color charters and backgrounds for all sections
• Put printable logo, and technical specs and code in the "tools" section
• Write a manifesto and a summary for the home page and the info page
• Write data access HOWTO
